Cali knows how to party!

This was the hightlight of the trip for the boys! They would have stayed all day and all night!

This is Huntington Beach, probably our favorite beach in California, we just drove by, we were on our way to visit friends, but we did get to play at the beach in Carlsbad.

My daughters attended elementary school here at Mark Keppel in Glendale, we lived right behind the school. The middle school is right next to it and the high school is right across the street. I'm glad it isn't like this here.

Don't they look tasty? You better believe it!

Just a few highlights from our quick trip down to california. Had to stop at Martino's bakery to get some delicious tea cakes. A friend and I used to go almost everyday and get our diet coke and a tea cake!

Fall and Family

We love to go up the canyon in the fall with the kids. We found this fun rock to pose on with the kids and grandkids! It's becoming a tradition, except this year we were missing Chris and Linsey and Matt, maybe next year guys. It's our last big outing before the cold hits!

28th Anniversary

I am the luckiest girl in town. Been married to my "Flipper" for 28 years!!! Wow we are getting old, speaking of that it's also my birthday! What a great birthday present! He is a wonderful husband, Father and Grandpa!! Love ya Babe! Happy Anniversary

It's hard to see, but it is chock full of shoes

Park City

We went overnight to Park City on Spring Break, nice getaway. Has anyone ever noticed the "SHOE TREE" ? These trees are filled with shoes and some ski boots, HILARIOUS!

I just love this picture of Chase, he looks so relaxed! He is growing up too fast!

My Sister Annette came to town

My sister loves the babies! We all love having her come in town
She lives in California and visits once or twice a year. I miss being able to hang out with her like I did when we lived in California. Love ya Sis!

Living Planet Aquarium

We took the kids to the aquarium for spring break, what else can you do in Utah when the weather won't cooperate?

spring break and easter

Easter was fun, we had our annual easter egg hunt at my sister's house in Lake Shore. We had a weenie roast and colored eggs and ate yummy treats! The older kids even had a good time, but now the grandkids are at the age where they enjoy it the most.

The funnest car and pretty quick too, I love it! If you ever need a thrill call me up and I'll take you for a ride. You can't be afraid of the G's though. This isn't your typical 4wheelin jeep, more like a race car!! It's a Jeep SRT8. Red rock crystal pearl is the color and sometimes it looks maroon and sometimes it looks more orange ( I don't like that so much.) We wanted gunmetal or black but didn 't want to wait 6 months.

We went out a few weeks ago when it was foggy down by the lake and took some really awesome pictures. Amanda and I love to take pictures of scenery and the kids just go along for the ride. Thought this was a nice picture. The frost was so cool on the limbs of the trees.
I think this was an old corn stalk, the frost was incredible.

Cheesy Chicken Enchiladas YUM-O

I came across this recipe and I don't remember where I found it, but we tried it and it is so easy and delicious that I just had to share!
CHEESY CHICKEN ENCHILADAS
1 lb. boneless chicken cut up into 1/2" pieces
1 pkg. taco or chicken taco seasoning mix
Cook chicken with seasoning and water, that is called for on the pkg. in a hot skillet. You can also use beef or sausage.
1 jar of favorite salsa
1 can black beans, rinsed and drained
1 8 oz can corn, drained
2 cups shredded mexican style cheese
1 can 15 oz. mild enchilada sauce
8 large flour tortillas
2 Tbsp sliced black olives
2 Tbsp sliced green onions (optional)
Prepare chicken, cool about 10 minutes, stir in salsa, beans, corn and 1 cup cheese.
In bottom of 13X9 pan spread 1/4 cup enchilada sauce, soften tortillas, as directed on pkg. Place 2/3 cup chicken mixture down center of each tortilla; roll up and place seam side down in pan.
Repeat with rest of tortillas and pour remaining enchilada sauce over tortillas; sprinkle remainder of cheese over and sprinkle with olives and onions. Bake at 375 for 20 minutes.
Next time I want to add some rice to these ;)

This is Maxton, my grandson who is so so smiley!!! Isn't he so cute? We think so, he will be 5 months on the 19th.

Las Vegas

Cactus Garden at Ethel M's in Las Vegas

New Year's Day we went to Vegas for a few days. It was nice to get away from the cold!! We mostly shopped while the guys golfed. I got thrown in the pool in my towel, because my son in law is crazy!! I think Linsey and Colton and Chase all got thrown in at some point! It was a lot of fun though.
